Job Summary:
The General Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining four-wheeler vehicles as per manufacturer standards. The role ensures high-quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake service, wheel alignment, and general inspections
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools
Carry out repair and replacement of parts including engine, transmission, suspension, steering, and braking systems
Follow job cards, service manuals, and OEM guidelines accurately
Ensure vehicles are serviced and delivered within committed timelines
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop and tools
Conduct road tests before and after repairs to ensure quality
Report additional repair requirements to Service Advisor / Team Leader
Follow safety standards and workshop procedures at all times
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Knowledge of petrol and diesel engines
Basic understanding of vehicle electrical and electronic systems
Ability to use diagnostic scanners and workshop equipment
Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules
