Job Summary
The NICU Lead Nurse is responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational activities of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, staff supervision, compliance with hospital policies, and effective coordination with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the nursing team in the NICU.
- Ensure safe, evidence-based, and high-quality nursing care for neonates.
- Coordinate patient care activities with neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient care standards and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.
- Prepare and manage duty rosters, shift allocations, and staff scheduling.
- Conduct nursing rounds and ensure proper documentation of patient records.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate NICU nursing staff.
- Ensure availability and proper maintenance of NICU equipment and supplies.
- Monitor infection control practices and patient safety standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and accreditation activities.
- Handle patient and family concerns professionally and effectively.
- Prepare reports related to unit performance, incidents, and nursing activities.
- Assist in emergency situations and neonatal resuscitation when required.

Salary
As per hospital standards and experience.
Working Schedule
Full-time, rotational shifts as per hospital policy.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with NICU leadership experience, certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and exposure to NABH/JCI standards will be preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
