Position Summary:
A General Duty Assistant (GDA) providing patient care and support under the supervision of medical professionals. The role includes assisting patients with daily activities, ensuring cleanliness, handling medical equipment, and coordinating with healthcare staff to provide quality care.
Key Responsibilities:1. Patient Care & Assistance
- Support nurses and doctors in routine medical procedures.
- Monitor and report changes in patient health conditions.
- Provide emotional and physical support to patients.
2. Hospital Facility & Equipment Support
- Ensure beds, linens, and rooms are clean and well-maintained.
- Assist in transporting patients within the hospital for tests or procedures.
- Help in managing medical equipment and supplies required for patient care.
- Ensure proper infection control and hygiene in patient areas.
3. Coordination & Documentation
- Maintain patient records and report any concerns to the medical team.
- Ensure that patient admission and discharge procedures are followed smoothly.
- Collect and provide necessary items to patients as per requirements.
4. Emergency & Safety Support
- Assist in handling medical emergencies by following hospital protocols.
- Ensure that fire safety and hygiene protocols are followed in patient care areas.
5. Additional Responsibilities
- Provide support for external medical tests when required.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management as needed.
