Job Title: Floor Polisher

Reports To: Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary
The Floor Polisher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and shine of all floor surfaces throughout the hotel. The role ensures that guest areas, public spaces, corridors, banquet halls, restaurants, and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation while adhering to hotel safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate floor polishing, scrubbing, buffing, and cleaning machines safely and efficiently.
- Clean, polish, and maintain marble, granite, wooden, tiled, vinyl, and other flooring surfaces.
- Perform floor stripping, sealing, buffing, and waxing as per hotel standards.
- Ensure lobby areas, corridors, banquet halls, restaurants, and public areas remain clean and presentable at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of floor surfaces and report any damage or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Place caution signs and follow safety procedures during floor maintenance activities.
- Maintain and store cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies properly.
- Assist with deep-cleaning schedules and special housekeeping projects.
- Ensure compliance with hotel hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and engineering teams to maintain floor quality and appearance.
- Maintain records of floor maintenance activities as required by the department.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in floor polishing, housekeeping, or facility maintenance, preferably in a hotel.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, polishing chemicals, and machine operations.
- Ability to operate floor scrubbers, buffers, and polishing equipment.
- Good understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Physically fit and able to stand, bend, lift, and work for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
