Purpose
The Sr. Executive – Purchase is responsible for executing and supporting the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement of materials for project requirements. The role involves coordinating with vendors, managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining procurement documentation. The executive works closely with internal teams to meet project timelines, ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards, and support cost optimization initiatives. Additionally, the role contributes to vendor coordination, report preparation, and smooth procurement operations to achieve overall project and organizational objectives.
Role and Responsibilities
1 Strategic Procurement Planning & Budgeting
Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies, assigning project budgets & deadlines that align with project requirements and budgetary constraints.
2 Team Leadership, Strategic Vision
Distribution of the work assignment to the team & sets a clear strategic vision to them This vision aligns with organizational goals and helps the team understand their role in achieving them.
3 Cost Reduction, Negotiations & Profitability
Recourse the suppliers and partners with the lowest possible cost of the material without compromising on the quality standards to leverage the Profit margins through hardcore negotiations, producing the competitiveness amongst the suppliers, diversifying the supplier base, risk mitigation, supplier relationships & adhering to the regulatory compliances to eliminate the rejections and penalties.
4 Informed Decision Making
Coordinate with Planning & Project team to understand material and equipment requirements and ensuring the project requirements are met in an optimized manner through informed decision making with the help of data driven strategies, market trends, demand forecasting & risk management.
5 Supplier Evaluation
Evaluate the suppliers in a timely fashion for the product they offer against the quality, reliability & consistency, pricing, financial stability, capacity & scalability, location & logistics, reputation in the market, customer service & support, environmental & ethical practices and contractual terms & conditions.
6 Adherence to the standard practices and protocols
Sourcing & selecting the suppliers based on considering the project requirements by ensuring the specification, performance, features, quality & durability, support & warranty, price, reviews & user feedback, innovation & regulatory and environmental consideration.
7 Collaboration & Communication
By frosting the collaborative environment with internal & external stakeholders through clear & transparent communications that align with the business goals particularly with the suppliers, planning, accounts and dispatch department.
8 Data Accumulations, Compliance Documents & Reports
Monitor the entire purchase process and accumulate the data in a report format project wise and cumulatively to monitor & control the cost, informed decision making, avoid any direct losses, risk mitigation, profitability transparency, performance monitoring & improvements, procurement cycle time analysis and aligning the strategies with the internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Proven experience in procurement roles, preferably in the HVAC and CRP industry.
Experience:
6-8 years of experience in electrical equipment procurement or a related field.
Prior experience working with vendors and managing supplier relationships is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of HVAC and Clean Room Products, including technical specifications and industry standards.
- Ability to negotiate cost-effective purchase contracts with vendors.
- Proficiency in inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Good grasp of the technical aspects of HVAC and CRP products being purchased.
Pay: Up to ₹800,000.00 per year
