Role Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will oversee the organization’s daily financial operations, ensure the absolute accuracy of our financial records, and maintain strict compliance with all relevant statutory regulations. As a key member of the finance department, you will look beyond the numbers to provide management with the critical financial insights and forecasting required to drive strategic business growth. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of accounting principles, exceptional data analysis skills, and a proven track record of optimizing financial workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare, review, and distribute accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Analyze variances and financial trends to present actionable insights to executive leadership.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring proper coding and recording of all financial transactions. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset schedules.
- Reconciliations & Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes. Perform complex bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Tax Compliance & Reporting: Coordinate and prepare documentation for timely local, state, and federal tax filings, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and payroll compliance, ensuring adherence to evolving tax laws.
- Audit Facilitation: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors. Prepare comprehensive audit schedules, pull supporting documentation, and explain accounting treatments to ensure smooth annual audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop realistic annual operational budgets. Monitor monthly spend against budgets and update rolling financial forecasts based on operational shifts.
- Process Optimization: Evaluate existing internal accounting controls and workflows. Design and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to mitigate financial risk, enhance data security, and leverage automation.
Key Skills & QualificationsTechnical Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Regulatory Expertise: Strong, foundational command of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Software Proficiency: Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience utilizing enterprise-level accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or QuickBooks Enterprise).
- Advanced Data Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the expert use of VLOOKUPs, index/match, pivot tables, and data macros to manipulate large financial datasets.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
