About the Role
Active Aid Fitness Academy is looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced Fitness Lecturer to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should be committed to delivering high-quality education, mentoring aspiring fitness professionals, and maintaining excellence in both theoretical and practical training.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom and practical lectures in:
- Exercise Science
- Functional Anatomy
- Exercise Physiology
- Biomechanics
- Nutrition Fundamentals
- Personal Training
- Strength & Conditioning
- Conduct gym practical sessions and demonstrate correct exercise techniques.
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and study materials.
- Evaluate students through practical assessments, theory tests, and viva examinations.
- Guide and mentor students throughout their learning journey.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure professional conduct.
- Stay updated with the latest research, fitness trends, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the academic team to continuously improve curriculum quality.
- Assist in workshop planning, seminars, practical exams, and certification programs.
- Support placement preparation and career guidance for students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in:
- Exercise Science
- Physical Education
- Sports Science
- Physiotherapy
- Or any related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching or industry experience.
- Excellent knowledge of:
- Anatomy
- Physiology
- Biomechanics
- Exercise Prescription
- Nutrition
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Ability to conduct both theoretical and practical sessions.
- Certifications such as ISSA, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, REPS India, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
