Key Responsibilities:
1. HVAC System Operation & Maintenance
- Monitor and maintain ventilation systems, exhaust fans, cooling pads, heaters, and controllers.
- Ensure proper airflow, temperature, and humidity levels in poultry houses.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to reduce breakdowns.
2. Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults in HVAC equipment.
- Respond quickly to system failures to prevent heat stress or cold stress in birds.
- Replace faulty components such as motors, belts, sensors, and thermostats.
3. Environmental Control Management
- Calibrate and monitor automated climate control systems.
- Adjust ventilation rates based on bird age, stocking density, and weather conditions.
- Maintain optimal environmental conditions as per poultry production standards.
4. Biosecurity & Safety Compliance
- Follow farm biosecurity protocols to prevent disease spread.
- Ensure safe handling of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Maintain cleanliness around HVAC equipment areas.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and inspection reports.
- Report major issues and recommend system upgrades or replacements.
- Track spare parts usage and request inventory replenishment.
