Qualification : GNM/B.Sc /MSc
Experience : Minimum of 4 years of Superintendent/Manager Experience.

Principal Duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor and coordinates the daily patient care activities of the unit; schedules staff and patients to ensure full coverage of patient care needs at all times and to ensure effective patient services.
- Provides expert, day-to-day guidance, consultation, and leadership to an assigned team of critical care nursing and related support staff.
- Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work.
- Oversees and provides direct nursing evaluation and/or other related care and consultation to patients as required.
- Oversees and provides direct nursing evaluation, procedures, and/or other related care and consultation to critical care patients as needed.
- Coordinates services with other patient care units as required; maintains communication with allied services and maintains community liaison as appropriate.
- Oversees quality assurance activities and compliance to operational standards.
- Participates in program development and in development and implementation of operating policy and procedure.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Assists in the recruitment of the nursing staff.
- Assists to make the Master duty roster of the Nursing staff.
- Assists in allocating nursing personnel’s to various nursing services departments.
- Maintains the records and reports of the nursing personnel’s and nursing services up to date.
- Ensures that arrangements are made to assign nurses in emergencies wherever they occur.
- Assists in planning and implementations related to Nursing Audits, Clinical Audits and Nursing Quality.
- Overall supervision of Nursing care delivery in the wards in order to ensure that a high standard is maintained at all times.
- Takes regular hospital rounds, supervises and inspects the wards and departments.
- Guides the Ward managers in maintaining inventory of equipments and supplies of departments and wards.
- Participates in condemnation and replacements of the stock from time to time.
- Participates in training of Nurses especially on privileges.
- Guides Nurses in wards to maintain a good IPR among Nurses and other departments.
- Acts as a liaison officer between the Nursing and other Department staff
- Organizes Nursing Management committee meeting
- Assists in resolving the problems and complaints of the Nurses and fourth class staff.
