Site Engineer (Freshers Preferred)

About the Role
We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Civil Engineering graduate to join our team as a Site Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will spend most of your time on-site, acting as the eyes and ears of the project management team, ensuring that work is executed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Inspection: Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure all construction work strictly follows approved structural drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Measurements & Billing: Take precise site measurements for material calculation, vendor billing, and client invoicing.
- Active Supervision: Supervise on-site labor, foremen, and sub-contractors to ensure daily productivity targets are met without compromising safety.
- Progress Monitoring: Track daily site activities against the project timeline and immediately highlight any delays or material shortages to the Project Manager.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), logging labor attendance, material consumption, and work completed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Freshers are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings. Basic understanding of AutoCAD and MS Office (especially Excel for reporting).
- Language Skills: Fluency in Tamil is mandatory to communicate effectively with the on-site workforce. Basic English proficiency is required for reporting.
- Physical Stamina: Willingness to work full-time outdoors on active construction sites in and around Chennai.
