Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced HDPE Pipe Operator capable of independently operating HDPE pipe extrusion lines up to 1000 mm diameter. The candidate should have hands-on experience in machine setup, production monitoring, quality control, troubleshooting, and handling high-capacity extrusion systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate HDPE pipe extrusion machines for pipe sizes up to 1000 mm.
- Set production parameters according to pipe specifications and standards.
- Monitor raw material feeding, temperature settings, pressure, vacuum, and cooling systems.
- Ensure proper wall thickness, ovality, and dimensional accuracy of pipes.
- Handle die changing, calibration, and startup/shutdown procedures.
- Coordinate with quality and maintenance departments for smooth production.
- Identify and rectify minor machine faults and process issues.
- Maintain production records and machine logs.
- Ensure minimum wastage and optimum machine efficiency.
- Follow factory safety and housekeeping procedures.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum [5–10] years of experience in HDPE pipe extrusion.
- Experience in handling large diameter HDPE pipe plants up to 1000 mm.
- Knowledge of extrusion processes, vacuum calibration, cooling systems, and haul-off operations.
- Ability to handle production independently.
- Familiarity with PE63 / PE80 / PE100 pipe production preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant BIS/ISO standards is an advantage.
Educational Qualification
- ITI / Diploma / Technical qualification preferred.
- Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal qualification.
