Job Description: Curriculum Manager and Editor – English
Birla Open Minds is seeking an experienced and visionary Curriculum Manager and Editor – English to lead the design, development, and enhancement of high-quality curriculum content. Based in Dalamal House, Mumbai, this role requires strategic oversight of curriculum planning, content development, and editorial excellence to ensure impactful and engaging learning experiences across grades.
The ideal candidate will possess strong subject expertise in English, a deep understanding of pedagogical frameworks, and proven experience in curriculum leadership. This role involves managing a team of curriculum developers, ensuring alignment with national and international educational standards, and driving innovation in teaching-learning practices. A passion for language education and nurturing young learners is essential.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in curriculum development
- Strong command over English language concepts and pedagogical approaches.
- Proven experience in content editing, quality assurance, and curriculum management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to mentor teams and conduct educator training effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of comprehensive, grade-appropriate English curriculum aligned with educational standards for grades 5 to 8.
- Oversee creation and review of lesson plans, assessments, textbooks, and supplementary learning materials for grades 5 to 8
- Lead end-to-end textbook development, including content planning, writing, editing, reviewing, and coordination with design and production teams.
- Ensure editorial quality, consistency, accuracy, and relevance across all curriculum content.
- Drive continuous curriculum improvement based on feedback, research, and emerging educational trends.
- Manage and mentor a team of curriculum developers and editors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional academic teams to enhance curriculum effectiveness.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for educators to support effective curriculum implementation.
- Establish quality benchmarks and review mechanisms to maintain academic excellence.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
