Job description for COST ACCOUNTANT
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling costs across operations to support profitability and operational efficiency. The role focuses on cost allocation, client and process profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- * Prepare and maintain cost sheets for clients, processes, and business units.
- * Monitor budget vs. actual performance and conduct variance analysis.
- * Support monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
- * Conduct profitability analysis by client, process, location, and service line.
- * Track key cost drivers, including headcount, utilization, attrition, and productivity.
- * Assist in pricing, contract costing, and business proposals by providing cost and margin insights.
- * Prepare management reports and dashboards highlighting cost trends and improvement opportunities.
- * Ensure accurate cost allocation and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- * Support internal and external audits and maintain proper cost documentation.
- Qualifications & Experience
- * CMA (Cost & Management Accountant) qualified; CFA, CPA, or equivalent professional certifications preferred.
- * Minimum 2 years of experience in Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, or Financial Analysis, preferably within the BPO/ITES industry.
- * Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- * Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; experience with ERP systems and Power BI will be an added advantage.
