About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & Compliance Executive to join our HR team at Nal Stop, Pune. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing and statutory compliance, with the ability to independently manage payroll and compliance for 300+ employees.
The candidate should have excellent knowledge of payroll processes, statutory requirements, labour laws, and employee documentation, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for 300+ employees, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing.
- Collect, verify, and process monthly payroll inputs, including attendance, leave, incentives, reimbursements, deductions, overtime, and other salary components.
- Handle statutory compliances related to PF, ESIC, Professional Tax (PT), TDS, LWF, and other applicable regulations.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory returns, challans, and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee master data, payroll records, and statutory records.
- Manage payroll-related activities for employee onboarding, transfers, increments, promotions, and exits.
- Process Full & Final Settlements accurately and within defined timelines.
- Address employee queries related to salary, deductions, PF, ESIC, tax, and other payroll matters.
- Coordinate with Finance and other internal teams for payroll processing and salary disbursement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain proper records of statutory registers, returns, challans, and compliance documents.
- Support internal and external audits by providing payroll and compliance-related information and documentation.
- Monitor changes in labour laws and statutory regulations and ensure necessary updates are implemented.
- Prepare and maintain payroll, compliance, and management reports as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in payroll and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience in independently managing payroll for 300+ employees.
- Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
- Good knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, LWF, and other statutory compliances.
- Strong understanding of applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll/HRMS software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion.
