The Opportunity:
UST is looking for Inventory Technician.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Everyday checking the 6S in the lab (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety)
- Perform proper inventory check-in and check-out procedures, logging all transactions accurately.
- Track inventory shipments from order to delivery, updating status in the system.
- While receiving inventory from users, inspect and test to confirm if it's working or faulty.
- After confirming working status, move inventory to scrap (if non-functional) or stock (if functional).
- Periodically check working condition of in-stock inventories, including board bring-up tests and functionality validation.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical inventory records using lab management software or spreadsheets.
- Conduct monthly inventory audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
- Label all items clearly with details like date received, condition, location, and expiry (if applicable).
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement, returns, and warranty claims on defective items.
- Dispose of scrap inventory per lab safety and environmental regulations, documenting the process.
- Train lab users on inventory protocols, check-in/out procedures, and proper handling.
- Generate weekly/monthly reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and stock shortages for lab management.
- Ensure lab complies with safety standards for storage (e.g., hazardous materials segregation).
