Job Title: CNC & Turning Setter and progammer

Job Summary
The CNC & Turning Setter is responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC Turning Machines used for
machining steel components. The role involves machine setup, tool setting, process monitoring, quality control, and
ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Set up CNC Turning Machines as per production schedules and job requirements.
Install and align fixtures, chucks, collets, cutting tools, and inserts.
Load CNC programs and verify machining parameters before production.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
Perform first-off inspection and obtain quality approval before batch production.
Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements.
Adjust tool offsets, feeds, speeds, and machining parameters to maintain quality.
Conduct tool changes and monitor tool wear during production.
Operate measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Height Gauges, and
Dial Indicators.
Troubleshoot machining issues related to dimensions, tool life, surface finish, and machine performance.
Minimize setup time and machine downtime to improve productivity.
Maintain production records, machine logs, and inspection reports.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
Follow 5S, safety procedures, and company policies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of CNC Turning operations and machining of steel components.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, tool geometry, feeds, and speeds.
Familiarity with steel machining processes and material properties.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of CNC programming and offset corrections.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
ITI (Turner/Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Minimum 10+ Years Experience.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
