We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons to students at the secondary and senior secondary levels. The candidate should foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of economic concepts in real-world contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Economics in alignment with the curriculum IGCSE/IB .
- Teach key topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, international trade, and economic development.
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Encourage student participation through discussions, case studies, and practical applications.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly.
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive exams where applicable.
- Integrate current economic events and real-world examples into teaching.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Economics (M.A. Economics) is mandatory.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is required.
- Additional certifications or training in curriculum-specific teaching (IB/IGCSE/CBSE) preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a reputed school.
- Experience teaching senior secondary classes (Grades 9–12) preferred.
