Bar & Restaurant Captain – Roles & Responsibilities

The Bar & Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising day-to-day service operations in both the restaurant and bar areas, ensuring smooth service flow, high guest satisfaction, and adherence to The Magnus Hotel’s service and quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate waiters, bar waiters, and bartenders during restaurant and bar operations.
- Ensure proper setup and readiness of restaurant tables and bar counters before service.
- Greet guests, assist with seating, and provide menu and beverage recommendations.
- Monitor food and beverage service to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Coordinate closely with kitchen and bar teams for smooth service operations.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests professionally and escalate when required.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, grooming, and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Assist in upselling food, beverages, and bar promotions to increase revenue.
- Support banquet and event services in both restaurant and bar areas.
- Train, guide, and motivate service staff to maintain consistent service quality.
- Ensure proper closing procedures, side duties, and shift handover reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or certification in Hotel Management or F&B Service preferred.
- Experience as a Captain or Senior Service Associate in a hotel, restaurant, or bar.
- Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Good knowledge of food, beverages, bar service, and service etiquette.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage peak-hour operations.

Restaurant Manager / Bar Manager / F&B Manager
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
