Job Description:
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Employment Type: Full-Time | Leadership Role
The Opportunity: Build. Scale. Lead.
We are launching a specialized manufacturing division dedicated to high-precision Solid and Hollow Brass Insert Pins. We aren't looking for a caretaker; we are looking for an architect.
As the first hire for this vertical, you will be given the autonomy—and the responsibility—to build this division from ground zero. From selecting the first machine to hiring your own team and hitting production benchmarks, the success of this division rests entirely on your shoulders.
Core Responsibilities
- Greenfield Setup: Design the entire production layout and process flow for both solid and hollow brass insert pins.
- Asset Procurement: Recommend, evaluate, and finalize the machinery (CNC, Cam-driven, Multi-spindle) and tooling required to meet our quality and volume targets.
- Process Engineering: Establish rigorous cycle times and production standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that "Estimated vs. Actual" time alignment is consistently met.
- Team Architecture: Build your department from the ground up. Use your industry network to hire top-tier operators, supervisors, and technicians.
- Automation & Innovation: Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual dependency and increase output consistency.
- Quality Ecosystem: Develop and enforce end-to-end quality protocols, from raw material inspection to final stage QC.
- Operational Scalability: Create repeatable systems that allow the division to scale rapidly without compromising on precision.
Technical & Professional Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically in Brass Insert Pin manufacturing (Non-negotiable).
- Machinery Mastery: Deep technical knowledge of CNC automatics, cam-operated machines, and multi-spindle setups.
- Product Expertise: Proven track record in manufacturing both Solid and Hollow pins.
- Process Mindset: A strong background in process engineering with the ability to control productivity metrics and tooling life.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead a workforce and hire skilled talent independently.
- Grit: The ability to operate in an unstructured "startup" environment and create order from chaos.
Who Should Apply?
- You are a "doer" who isn't afraid to get your hands dirty on the shop floor.
- You have a reputation in the brass industry for technical excellence.
- You want full ownership and the rewards that come with building a successful business unit.
Who Should NOT Apply?
- Generalists whose experience is in "general machining" but not specifically insert pins.
- Managers who are used to working within established systems and require "hand-holding."
- Candidates who have supervised processes but have never designed or built them.
The Reality of This Role
This is a high-stakes, high-ownership position. There is no pre-existing structure. You will be expected to make decisions fast, move even faster, and deliver measurable output. If you are looking for a "comfortable" corporate role, this is not it. If you want to be the person who built a world-class manufacturing unit from a blank sheet of paper, we want to talk to you.
Are you ready to build? Apply now.
Benefits:
- Paid sick time
- Provident Fund
Application Question(s):
- Based on our goal of high-volume precision, which specific machines (brand/model or type, e.g., Cam driven vs. CNC Sliding Head) would you recommend we purchase first, and why?
- Which grades of brass are you most comfortable working with (e.g., IS 319 Grade I or II), and how do you adjust your tooling strategy to maintain tolerances over a 24-hour shift?
- Tell me about a time you had to set up a production line or a specific process with zero existing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). How did you establish the benchmarks?
