- Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing fire alarm systems. The Technician must ensure that fire alarm systems are maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability.
The Technician’s main duties include:
- Installing, testing and inspecting fire alarm systems.
- Investigating and responding to alarms.
- Repairing and replacing system components.
- Providing maintenance and corrective services.
- Programing, calibrating and adjusting systems.
- Documenting work and completing reports.
- Keeping up to date with industry standards and regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Maintaining a clean and organised workplace.
- Providing exceptional customer service.
The candidate must have excellent problem solving and communication skills, be technically competent, and have the ability to work independently. A valid driver’s licence and a basic understanding of electrical systems is also required.
