Job Description – PGT Chemistry Teacher (CBSE)
Position: Postgraduate Teacher (PGT) – Chemistry
Department: Academics
Location: CBSE School
Experience: Minimum 3 Years in a CBSE School
Qualification: M.Sc. Chemistry with B.Ed. (Mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Chemistry to Classes XI & XII as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual lesson plans, unit plans, worksheets, assignments, and question papers.
- Deliver engaging classroom instruction using modern teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
- Prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations and competitive exams such as JEE (Main), NEET, and other entrance examinations.
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions while ensuring all laboratory safety procedures are followed.
- Assess student performance through regular tests, projects, practicals, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, assessment reports, and progress reports.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial coaching.
- Participate actively in parent-teacher meetings, academic reviews, school events, and faculty development programmes.
- Collaborate with the academic team to improve curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Ensure discipline and create a positive, student-centred learning environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. degree is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE School handling Classes XI & XII.
- Strong subject knowledge with familiarity in the latest CBSE curriculum, competency-based education, and board examination pattern.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Smart Board teaching, MS Office, and digital learning platforms.

Salary
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and institutional norms.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
