Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide immediate nursing care to patients admitted in the Emergency Department with acute illness, trauma, accidents, cardiac emergencies, and critical conditions.
- Perform rapid patient assessment by checking vital signs, pain level, consciousness level, oxygen saturation, and overall patient condition.
- Assist doctors during emergency procedures such as CPR, intubation, defibrillation, central line insertion, wound suturing, and other emergency interventions.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, blood transfusions, oxygen therapy, nebulization, and emergency treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
- Monitor patient condition continuously and immediately report any deterioration or abnormal findings to the duty doctor.
- Handle emergency and critical care cases including cardiac arrest, stroke, poisoning, trauma, accident cases, respiratory distress, and unconscious patients.
- Maintain readiness of emergency equipment such as crash cart, cardiac monitor, ECG machine, ventilator, defibrillator, suction apparatus, infusion pumps, and oxygen supply systems.
- Perform IV cannulation, catheterization assistance, sample collection, wound dressing, and emergency bedside procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessment, medication administration, nursing care provided, emergency treatment records, and case sheets.
- Coordinate with ambulance staff, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, ICU, operation theatre, and other departments for immediate patient care.
- Ensure infection prevention protocols, proper biomedical waste disposal, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards within the emergency department.
- Check emergency medicine stock, consumables, and crash cart inventory regularly and ensure availability at all times.
- Provide proper handover communication regarding patient status, treatment given, pending investigations, and further management during shift changes.
- Maintain professional communication with patient attendants during emergency situations and provide appropriate guidance when required.
- Follow hospital protocols, nursing standards, emergency response procedures, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualification
- GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Diploma in Nursing
- Valid Nursing Council Registration
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Room (ER), Critical Care, ICU, or Casualty Department is mandatory.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
