Role Purpose
The Foundational Year Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the academic and developmental programs of the foundational classes, ensuring that teaching practices align with the school curriculum and early childhood education standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Academic Planning
- Plan and implement the foundational curriculum in line with school guidelines.
- Ensure age-appropriate learning activities for students.
- Prepare year plans, term plans, and lesson plan guidelines for teachers.
- Monitor classroom teaching and ensure quality education delivery.
2. Teacher Coordination
- Guide and support Foundational Year teachers.
- Conduct regular meetings with teachers to review lesson plans and progress.
- Provide feedback to improve teaching methods and classroom management.
- Assist in teacher training and orientation programs.
3. Student Development
- Monitor students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Coordinate activities that enhance language, motor skills, and creativity.
4. Assessment & Evaluation
- Design and supervise student assessments and progress reports.
- Ensure teachers maintain student records and portfolios.
- Track learning outcomes and suggest improvement strategies.
5. Parent Communication
- Coordinate parent meetings and orientations.
- Address academic concerns and provide guidance on student progress.
- Support teachers in maintaining effective parent communication.
6. Activity & Event Coordination
- Plan and coordinate foundational stage events and celebrations.
- Organize activity-based learning programs, field trips, and classroom activities.
- Support school functions involving early years students.
7. Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain academic documentation and records.
- Coordinate with administration for classroom resources and materials.
- Assist the principal in implementing school policies and procedures.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Early Childhood Education (ECE)
- Leadership and teacher mentoring skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Classroom observation and curriculum planning skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Education / Early Childhood Education
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in foundational classes
- Prior coordination or leadership experience preferred
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
