Role Summary
We are seeking a mid-level Data Engineer with 3 years of hands-on experience in the data engineering space. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing our data infrastructure. You will work heavily with Python, PySpark, and SQL to process large datasets and deploy solutions on cloud platforms [AWS / Azure]. Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform large volumes of data from various sources.
Data Processing: Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using Python and PySpark for distributed data processing.
Database Management: Write advanced SQL queries, optimize database performance, and assist in data modeling and architecture design.
Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, manage, and scale data solutions utilizing cloud services on [AWS or Azure].
Data Quality & Architecture: Implement best data engineering practices to ensure data integrity, reliability, and security across the organization.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Software Engineers to understand data needs and deliver optimized datasets for analytics and AI/ML initiatives.
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Experience: 3 years of proven, hands-on experience in a Data
Engineering role.
Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, with deep knowledge of data manipulation libraries like Pandas.
Big Data Technologies: Extensive hands-on experience with PySpark for large-scale data processing.
Database Expertise: Advanced knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.
Cloud Platforms: Solid understanding and practical experience working with at least one major cloud platform, specifically AWS or Azure (e.g., S3, EC2, Redshift, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, etc.)
Core Concepts: Deep understanding of modern data engineering practices, data modeling, and distributed computing
Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Haves)
Databricks: Hands-on experience building and managing data workflows within the Databricks ecosystem
AI/ML Exposure: Foundational knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) processes, and experience building data pipelines that support AI models.
Orchestration Tools: Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
