Job Title: Structural Designer & Structural Detailer – RCC & Steel Structures | Hyderabad – Full Time
We are looking for experienced Structural Designers and Structural Detailers based in Hyderabad to join our team on a full-time basis and support our Indian and international projects, including UAE projects.
Candidates should have strong technical knowledge in RCC and steel structures and practical experience in either structural analysis/design, structural detailing, or both.
Scope of WorkStructural Design
- Structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures
- Residential villas, apartments, commercial buildings and industrial structures
- Analysis and design using ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro and/or PROKON
- Design of slabs, beams, columns, shear walls and staircases
- Foundation design including:
- Isolated foundations
- Combined foundations
- Strip foundations
- Raft foundations
- Pile foundations and pile caps
- Steel beam, column, truss, bracing, platform and canopy design
- Base plate, anchor bolt and structural connection design
- Preparation of professional structural calculation reports
- Preparation of design sketches and structural mark-ups
- Coordination with architectural and MEP drawings
- Ability to independently handle complete structural design assignments
Structural Detailing
- Preparation of RCC structural drawings and reinforcement detailing
- Structural GA drawings, plans, elevations and sections
- Beam, slab, column, shear wall, staircase and foundation detailing
- Reinforcement detailing and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS)
- Steel structure fabrication/shop drawings
- Steel beam, column, bracing, truss, platform and staircase detailing
- Base plate, anchor bolt and connection details
- Preparation of erection and fabrication drawings
- Revision of drawings based on design changes and consultant/client comments
- Coordination of structural drawings with architectural and MEP drawings
- Preparation and updating of structural BIM models where required
Required Software Skills
Candidates should have good working knowledge of relevant software such as:
- ETABS
- SAFE
- STAAD.Pro
- PROKON
- AutoCAD
- Revit Structure
- Tekla Structures – preferred for steel detailing
- Other structural design/detailing software will be an advantage
Codes & Standards
Good working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including:
- ACI Codes
- AISC Codes
- ASCE Standards
- IBC
- Indian Standards / IS Codes
- IS 456
- IS 800
- IS 875
- IS 1893
- Knowledge of BS / Eurocodes will be an advantage
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Degree / Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Strong knowledge of RCC and/or steel structures
- Ability to independently perform structural design or detailing assignments
- Good understanding of structural behaviour and construction practices
- Experience preparing professional structural calculation reports and/or structural drawings
- Strong understanding of architectural and structural coordination
- Experience with Indian projects
- UAE / Middle East / international project experience preferred
- Ability to understand and work with international drawing standards
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to meet agreed project submission deadlines
