Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Hardware Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware, networking devices, and related IT equipment. The candidate will ensure smooth functioning of hardware systems and provide technical support for installation and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues and perform repairs or replacements.
- Perform preventive maintenance of IT hardware and networking equipment.
- Install and maintain routers, switches, and basic network connectivity devices.
- Monitor hardware performance and ensure uptime of systems.
- Coordinate with vendors for warranty claims and hardware servicing.
- Maintain inventory of hardware components, spare parts, and IT assets.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to users.
- Perform hardware upgrades, software installation, and system testing.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and service reports.
- Ensure compliance with IT safety and operational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
- Experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Knowledge of desktops, laptops, printers, and networking devices.
- Basic understanding of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and cabling.
- Ability to diagnose and repair hardware faults.
- Familiarity with operating system installation and configuration.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in field support / on-site service environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in ISP / broadband / networking industry.
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control, or telecom hardware is an added advantage.
