Esser-Werke Conforms India Private Limited (EWCFI) is a subsidiary company of Esser-Werke GmbH, Germany under the group company of Construction Forms, Inc. (CFI), USA. EWCFI was incorporated in October 2023 with its registered office at Hyderabad, Telangana. The business develops, manufactures, sells, and exports wear protection solutions such as piping systems and other wear protection components and its accessories, for concrete conveying and other hydraulic or pneumatic conveying in various user industries.
JOB SUMMARY
Senior Engineer - Maintenance Electrical and Mechanical manages, maintains, and repairs industrial electrical systems (HV/MV/LV), focusing on reducing downtime through preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and technical leadership. Key duties include leading technicians, troubleshooting PLC, SCADA systems, managing maintenance budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety standards (e.g., OSHA, IEC).
RESPONSIBLITIES
- Maintenance Strategy: Develop, schedule, and execute preventive/predictive maintenance for electrical equipment like transformers, switchgears, and motors.
- Manpower Management: Ensure daily manpower allocation aligns with production/operational plans, maintaining high adherence to schedules.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Lead technical efforts to diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in machinery and plant infrastructure, reducing downtime.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor maintenance technicians and junior engineers.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical activities comply with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company safety policies (e.g., lock-out/tag-out).
- System Optimization: Identify recurring failures through data analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Project & Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for spares and manage projects involving electrical system upgrades.
- Mean Time to Repair (MTTR): Monitor and analyze Repair (MTTR) to ensure quick resolution of equipment failures and minimize downtime.
- Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF): Track and improve (MTBF) to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- OEE Overall Equipment Effectiveness: Drive initiatives to optimize maintenance strategies and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Critical Spare Parts: Ensure availability of critical spare parts to support uninterrupted operations and minimize downtime.
- Possession of a valid C License is mandatory, with compliance with all statutory regulations for safe operation of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years in Heavy Engineering industry related to Welding process.
- Experience working with EOT Crane, JIB Crane, Heat Induction Machine, Shot Blasting Machine, Pipe cutting machine and Spray Painting.
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Proficient in pipe welding fabrication, with the ability to perform predictive maintenance on PLC/SCADA-controlled machines.
- Hands-on experience with industrial equipment including heat induction machines, EOT cranes, JIB cranes, JIB cranes, shot blasting systems, pipe cutting machines, and flange-to-pipe welding machines.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematic diagrams, with the ability to troubleshoot and interpret system layouts effectively.
- Good physical fitness with strong manual dexterity; capable of handling heavy equipment and working in high-noise industrial environments.
- High attention to detail with strong problem identification and troubleshooting skills, along with the ability to guide and support team members.
- Working knowledge of Kaizen and continuous improvement practices, focusing on process optimization, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with experience coordinating across fabrication, QA/QC, production, and material handling teams.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance, ensuring strict adherence to EHS standards, hot work permits, PPE usage, and welding safety practices.
- Proficient in maintaining technical documentation and maintenance documentation.
