Position- Staff Nurse/Senior Staff Nurse
Requirement of Qualification and experience :
- Qualification: Only B.Sc. Nursing/ Post B.Sc. Nursing (Registered Nurse with State Nursing Council)
- Experience: 1–3 years of OT experience preferred.
- Working in rotational shifts is mandatory.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Receive and prepare the patient for surgical procedures as per preoperative checklist.
2. Ensure all required instruments, equipment, and consumables are ready and functional before the procedure.
3. Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout all surgical procedures.
4. Assist the surgeon efficiently during operations, ensuring proper instrument handling and sponge counts.
5. Verify patient identity, procedure site, and consent as per safety checklist before surgery.
6. Monitor patient condition intraoperatively and coordinate with the anaesthesia team.
7. Record all intraoperative details including time, instruments used, specimens collected, and counts performed.
8. Maintain accurate documentation in OT registers and electronic systems (HIMS).
9. Assist with positioning, draping, and preparation of the surgical site.
10. Ensure proper segregation, cleaning, and sterilization of instruments post-surgery.
11. Handle instruments and linen safely and send to CSSD for sterilization after each use.
12. Maintain inventory of instruments, medicines, sutures, and surgical consumables.
13. Report malfunctioning equipment to biomedical or incharge nurse promptly.
14. Follow infection control protocols and hospital safety policies strictly.
15. Adhere to International Patient Safety Goals and ensure zero deviation from protocols.
16. Conduct preoperative and postoperative patient care and counselling.
17. Maintain OT cleanliness, air quality, and temperature as per standard requirements.
18. Participate in mock drills and quality improvement initiatives.
19. Follow waste segregation and disposal protocols as per BMW and HIC guidelines.
20. Ensure hand hygiene and use of PPE at all times in sterile areas.
21. Maintain OT records, case logs, and participate in audits regularly.
22. Provide post-operative handover to recovery room nurse with complete patient details.

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
