We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester with strong E-commerce and Shopify experience to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our online stores and digital commerce platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing Shopify websites, e-commerce workflows, payment gateways, third-party integrations, and customer journeys while collaborating closely with developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering seamless shopping experiences by identifying defects early, validating new features, and maintaining high product quality across multiple browsers and devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing of Shopify-based e-commerce websites and web applications.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, UAT, and exploratory testing.
- Validate complete customer journeys, including product browsing, cart, checkout, payment, shipping, and order confirmation.
- Test Shopify themes, product pages, collections, search, filters, customer accounts, wishlists, and promotional campaigns.
- Verify payment gateway integrations such as Shopify Payments, PayPal, Stripe, Razorpay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, and other supported payment methods.
- Validate discounts, coupons, gift cards, taxes, shipping methods, inventory updates, and order processing.
- Test Shopify Admin functionalities, including product management, inventory, orders, collections, and customer data.
- Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools and validate request/response data.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, UI/UX designers, business analysts, and product managers to resolve issues efficiently.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and release validation.
- Maintain comprehensive test cases, test plans, and testing documentation.
- Support release validation and post-deployment production verification.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in QA processes, testing methodologies, and automation initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in Software QA, with significant exposure to E-commerce and Shopify platforms.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify Plus.
- Exposure to automated testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
- Familiarity with Shopify APIs, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
- Experience with browser testing platforms such as BrowserStack or LambdaTest.
- Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and web performance testing.
- Experience testing multilingual and international e-commerce websites.
AI & Modern QA Experience (Preferred)
Candidates with experience using AI-powered tools to improve QA efficiency will have an advantage.
Examples include:
- AI-assisted test case generation
- AI-driven bug analysis
- Test data generation
- Visual regression validation
- ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI tools for testing workflows
- Experience evaluating AI-powered testing platforms
