Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to drive business growth across Defence Forces, Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and Institutional customers. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical understanding, government procurement knowledge, and proven experience in handling GeM tenders and defence sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for Defence, Government, PSU, and Institutional customers.
- Generate new business opportunities and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Handle complete GeM (Government e-Marketplace) bid management, including bid identification, documentation, technical compliance, and submission.
- Coordinate with technical and engineering teams for preparation of technical proposals and commercial quotations.
- Participate in technical demonstrations, customer presentations, exhibitions, and defence events.
- Liaise with Defence establishments, DRDO, CAPFs, Government Departments, PSUs, and procurement agencies.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, presentations, and tender responses.
- Track government procurement opportunities through GeM, CPP Portal, Defence procurement portals, and other tender platforms.
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and customer engagement reports.
- Provide regular market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to management.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech/B.E. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- MBA in Marketing, Sales, Business Management, or Operations is preferred.
- Candidates with both Engineering and MBA qualifications will be given preference.
Experience
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in Defence, Government, or PSU sales.
- Prior experience working with Defence procurement agencies, Government departments, or technology companies is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in GeM bidding, tender documentation, and government procurement processes is mandatory.
- Experience in drones, robotics, aerospace, electronics, defence equipment, or emerging technologies will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Government procurement procedures and GeM Portal.
- Excellent understanding of tender documentation and techno-commercial bid preparation.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to understand technical products and communicate their value effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and proposal-writing skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India for customer meetings, demonstrations, and business development activities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in Defence, Government, or PSU business development.
- Existing network within Defence Forces, Government organizations, DRDO, DPSUs, or procurement agencies will be an added advantage.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.

Salary & Benefits
- 4–8 Years Experience: ₹30,000 – ₹60,000 per month (Based on qualifications, relevant experience, and interview performance)
