We are looking for a Finance Controller who will play a key role in managing day-to-day finance
operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across accounting processes, and supporting business
decision-making through robust financial reporting and controls. This role requires a qualified Chartered Accountant with hands-on experience managing a small finance team, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth marketplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end accounting and financial close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 4–5 finance/accounts executives, ensuring quality output and timely delivery of deliverables
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory filings
- Coordinate and manage statutory, internal, and tax audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring timely closure of audit queries
- Monitor internal controls, identify gaps, and implement process improvements to strengthen the control environment
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury/cash flow operations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in coordination with business teams
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Business) to provide financial insights that support business decisions
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts, vendor payments, and bank statements
- Drive automation and process efficiency initiatives within the finance function
Candidate Requirements
Qualification
- Chartered Accountant (CA) — mandatory
Experience
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounts, preferably in a fast-growing startup, e-commerce, or marketplace environment
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team of 4–5 members
- Strong exposure to statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax), financial reporting, and audit management
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems and MS Excel; exposure to automation tools is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: ₹1,600,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
