Job Overview
Papillon Paints is seeking an organized and proactive Procurement and Logistics Coordinator to manage end-to-end supply chain operations between our primary manufacturing unit in Mumbai and our company outlets, franchisees, contractors, and direct customers across Kerala. You will oversee raw material and product procurement, inventory auditing, inter-state material transport, and full fleet management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Purchasing Management
- Raw Material & Merchant Goods Purchase: Sourcing raw materials for local operations as well as supplementary brand products (e.g., paintbrushes, putty, emery paper, masking tape, and application tools).
- Local Procurement: Managing local vendor relationships, negotiating terms, issuing purchase orders, and verifying quality/deliveries for quick-turnaround supplies.
- Supplier Coordination: Maintaining active communication with Mumbai manufacturing teams and external vendors to ensure continuous supply without inventory stockouts.
2. Inventory Control & Stock Auditing
- Stock Reporting: Tracking real-time inventory levels across the main Kerala central depot and regional factory outlets.
- Stock Audits: Conducting periodic physical inventory checks, reconciling stock discrepancies between systems and outlets, and filing loss/damage reports.
- Order Processing: Coordinating demand forecasts and managing material requisitions from Kerala outlets, franchisees, and contractors.
3. Inter-State Logistics & Material Dispatch
- Mumbai-to-Kerala Shipments: Coordinating bulk material movement from the Mumbai factory to Kerala distribution nodes and outlets.
- Distribution & Delivery: Managing outbound dispatches to franchisees, direct commercial customers, contractors, and painters.
- Transit Management: Ensuring timely delivery schedules, route optimization, and proper handling of hazardous/flammable paint products.
4. Fleet Management & Maintenance
- Vehicle Coordination: Overseeing daily schedules and trips for company-owned vehicles, including National Permit heavy vehicles and corporate office cars.
- Maintenance & Compliance: Scheduling preventive maintenance, servicing, breakdown repairs, fitness certifications, insurance renewals, and permit compliance.
- Driver Supervision: Assigning drivers, tracking duty hours, and maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.
5. Trip Analytics & Log Reporting
- Vehicle Logs: Reviewing and maintaining accurate daily logbooks (odometer readings, fuel consumption, trip routes, and driver hours).
- National Permit Trip Analysis: Conducting performance and cost analyses on long-haul National Permit trips (Mumbai-Kerala routes), evaluating fuel efficiency, toll expenses, transit times, and cost-per-ton metrics.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
