Job Description – Finance Manager
Position Title: Finance Manager
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Managing Director / Executive Director
Location: Chennai
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the finance and accounting functions of KMS Pharma and associated company of MTRL and Voxtur by ensuring strong financial controls, business profitability, compliance, cash flow optimization, and strategic financial support across development, manufacturing, regulatory, and commercial operations in the pharmaceutical finished formulation business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Business Support
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with KMS Pharma’s business objectives.
- Prepare annual operating plans, budgets, and rolling forecasts.
- Support management with financial analysis for business expansion and strategic decisions.
- Drive profitability improvement across development and commercial activities.
2. Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage end-to-end accounting and monthly/quarterly/year-end financial closing.
- Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements and MIS reports.
- Present financial performance reports to management with actionable recommendations.
- Maintain robust internal financial controls.
3. Pharmaceutical Costing & Commercial Finance
- Establish product costing models for finished formulations.
- Monitor manufacturing cost, overhead allocation, and product margins.
- Support pricing decisions for domestic and international markets.
- Evaluate financial feasibility for new product development and commercialization.
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and inventory controls.
- Improve working capital cycle and ensure availability of funds for operations.
- Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, and treasury functions.
5. Regulatory, Taxation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory, GST, income tax, and corporate regulations.
- Coordinate internal, statutory, and tax audits.
- Support financial due diligence for partnerships and business transactions.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance requirements.
6. Contract, Commercial & Business Controls
- Review commercial agreements, licensing arrangements, supply agreements, and payment terms.
- Support negotiations from financial and risk perspectives.
- Monitor revenue realization and commercial commitments.
7. Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance and accounts team.
- Build accountability, financial discipline, and operational excellence.
Qualification:
- Inter/ CA / CMA preferred
- MBA (Finance) / M.Com
Experience:
- 10–15 years in Finance & Accounts
- Minimum 5 years in Pharmaceutical / CDMO / Finished Formulation business
- Experience handling manufacturing finance and commercial operations preferred
