We are seeking an experienced and proactive Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize our fleet operations while ensuring high service standards, compliance, and cost efficiency.
## Job Summary
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing the company's fleet of vehicles and drivers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, vehicle maintenance, regulatory compliance, driver performance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, experience in fleet management, and the ability to drive continuous improvements in logistics operations.
## Key Responsibilities
### Fleet Operations Management
* Oversee the daily operations of the fleet to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
* Monitor vehicle utilization, route efficiency, and fleet productivity.
* Coordinate vehicle allocation based on operational requirements.
* Ensure maximum fleet availability while minimizing downtime.
### Driver Management
* Recruit, onboard, and train drivers as required.
* Monitor driver performance, attendance, and adherence to safety standards.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and disciplinary actions when necessary.
* Address driver concerns and ensure a positive working environment.
### Cost Control & Reporting
* Monitor fuel consumption and implement measures to reduce operational costs.
* Track fleet-related expenses and prepare periodic reports.
* Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
* Manage vendor relationships related to vehicle maintenance and fleet services.
### Safety & Risk Management
* Implement and enforce fleet safety policies and procedures.
* Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend corrective actions.
* Ensure drivers follow safe driving practices and company guidelines.
## Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 3–7 years of experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics operations.
* Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet regulations, and transportation compliance.
* Proficiency in MS Office and fleet management software.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, or e-commerce operations.
* Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and fleet management tools.
* Experience managing large fleets and driver teams.
