We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Engineer to join our Tool Room & Mould Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of various production moulds and tooling equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a budding engineer to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of critical production assets.
- Assist in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities for injection moulds, dies, and other tooling.
- Perform routine inspections of moulds and tooling to identify wear, damage, or potential issues.
- Participate in the disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and testing of moulds and tooling components.
- Support the troubleshooting of mould-related issues during production runs, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Operate and maintain various tool room machinery, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines, under supervision.
- Maintain accurate records of mould maintenance, repair histories, spare parts consumption, and tooling modifications.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure moulds meet specified quality standards and production schedules.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment within the tool room.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of spare parts and consumables required for mould maintenance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing mould performance, efficiency, and lifespan.
- Learn and apply best practices in tool and mould maintenance, including surface finishing, polishing, and component replacement.
