Position Title: Robot & PLC Programmer
Department: Automation / Controls Engineering
Location: As per company operations
- Program industrial robots such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, and similar robotic systems.
- Perform robot installation, setup, testing, and commissioning at customer sites.
- Integrate robotic systems with PLCs, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and other automation equipment.
- Develop and modify PLC programs for automation machines and robotic cells.
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams for system integration.
- Perform troubleshooting and optimization of robot programs and PLC logic.
- Support system commissioning and customer acceptance testing.
- Ensure safety compliance and adherence to project specifications.
- Integrate robots with material handling systems, SPM machines, and production lines.
- Configure and manage communication protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and other industrial networks.
- Interface robots with PLC systems, HMI systems, sensors, and other automation components.
- Conduct system testing and debugging during machine build and commissioning.
- Support on-site installation and commissioning activities.
- Hands-on experience with programming industrial robots such as FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, including Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and similar networks.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, automation layouts, and system schematics.
- Good troubleshooting skills in robotics and automation systems.
- Basic understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial electrical systems.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly and wiring will be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with robot safety systems and automation standards.
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification or specialized training in industrial robotics or PLC programming will be an advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in robotics and industrial automation programming.
- Experience in robotic system installation, programming, and commissioning is required.
- Previous experience in the automation or robotics industry will be considered a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
