Job Title: HVAC DraughtsmanJob Summary
The HVAC Draughtsman is responsible for preparing detailed HVAC drawings, layouts, and schematics based on engineering specifications and project requirements. The role supports HVAC engineers and project teams by delivering accurate and compliant design documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare HVAC shop drawings, layouts, and detailed design drawings
- Develop ducting, piping, equipment layouts, and schematics
- Interpret HVAC design concepts, specifications, and BOQs
- Coordinate with HVAC engineers, architects, and other disciplines
- Revise drawings based on site conditions, client feedback, and approvals
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant standards, codes, and project requirements
- Prepare as-built drawings after project completion
- Maintain drawing registers and document control
- Assist in clash detection and coordination using CAD/BIM tools
Software & Tools
Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / HVAC / Drafting
- Certification in AutoCAD or Revit MEP is an advantage
Experience
2–3 years of experience in HVAC drafting (commercial, residential, or industrial projects)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
