Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Legal Recruiter with experience managing a full-cycle (360) recruitment desk. The ideal candidate will have a strong staffing background, experience recruiting attorneys and legal professionals, and demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience. This individual will be responsible for business development, client management, candidate recruitment, and supporting the growth of the legal staffing practice.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and placement.
- Recruit attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, contract legal professionals, and other legal talent for law firms and corporate legal departments.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified legal candidates through networking, referrals, direct sourcing, and recruiting platforms.
- Conduct candidate assessments to evaluate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Coordinate interviews and manage the hiring process from initial contact through placement.
Business Development & Client Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within law firms and corporate legal departments.
- Conduct client intake meetings to understand hiring needs and recruitment strategies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on talent market trends, compensation expectations, and hiring best practices.
Leadership & Team Support
- Mentor and assist junior recruiters and recruiting coordinators.
- Share sourcing strategies, market insights, and recruitment best practices.
- Support training and onboarding efforts for new team members.
- Contribute to team goals and help drive recruiting excellence across the organization.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of staffing/recruiting experience, preferably within an agency or staffing environment.
- 1–2 years of experience recruiting attorneys or legal professionals.
- Experience managing a full-cycle (360) recruitment desk, including both recruiting and business development responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ATS, CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting for law firms, legal departments, or legal staffing organizations.
- Knowledge of attorney hiring trends, legal practice areas, and legal market dynamics.
- Proven track record of achieving placement, revenue, and client development goals.
