The Control Valve Application and Engineering Expert serves as the highest-level technical authority for control valve application, sizing, selection, process optimization, Desing and Manufacturing. This role provides global technical leadership, supports strategic customer opportunities, drives application excellence, and mentors engineering teams while ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
With over 12+ years of experience, the individual is recognized as a subject matter expert in control valve technologies, severe service applications, fluid dynamics, process control, and valve lifecycle management. The role collaborates closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, EPCs, End Users, and Field Services organizations to deliver optimal valve solutions that improve customer performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
As a Control Valve Application Engineering Expert, you will be responsible for:
Application Engineering Excellence
Validate compliance with IEC 60534, ISA standards, ASME B16.34, API requirements, PED, SIL, NACE, and customer specifications.
Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) as part of the pre-ITO process while interfacing with the commercial team and implement in sizing and selection software’s.
Possesses a deep understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies. To include 'ITO': Technical analysis of client needs, Definition and optimization of the products, scope (description), schedule, industrial scheme, cost, considering contract and internal policies and procedures
Product & Technology Engineering
Drive innovation in control valve technology, severe service solutions, smart instrumentation, and sustainability initiatives.
Mentorship & Capability Building
Serve as the global technical authority for control valve applications across process industries including Oil & Gas, LNG, Power, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Hydrogen, and Industrial Processes. Lead complex application reviews involving severe service conditions such as high-pressure drops, flashing, cavitation, erosion, noise, and multiphase flow.
Provide technical guidance on valve sizing, actuator sizing, trim selection, materials selection, and control strategies.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 12+ years of experience in Control Valve Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, or Valve Technology.
ASME B16.34, API, NACE, PED, SIL, IEC, ISA standards.
