Role Summary
As the Accounts-cum-Admin Officer at Back to Village (B2V), you will be responsible for all types of accounts related operations, tax compliances, and general office administration. In this role, you will oversee and guide the Accounts & Admin Executive to ensure seamless daily workplace logistics and robust financial accounting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain and review complete general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and daily voucher entries.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and petty cash audits.
- Manage end-to-end statutory compliance, including GST calculation/filings, TDS deductions and returns, and PF/ESIC handling.
- Finalize monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and management report packs for leadership.
- Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants (CAs) and tax auditors for annual audits and filings.
2. Administrative & Operations Oversight
- Oversee/assist in overall office operations, inventory, and facility upkeep at Ranchi office.
- Manage vendor onboarding, service-level agreements (SLAs), lease renewals, and utility payments.
- Oversee/assist monthly payroll processing, employee attendance/leave records, and expense reimbursements.
- Assist management in Implementing administrative policies and internal control systems.
3. Team Leadership & Guidance
- Delegate tasks, set targets, and review the daily work output of the Accounts & Admin Executive.
- Train and mentor the Executive to ensure accuracy in data entry, filing, vendor handling, and guest management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- 100% on-time tax filings and error-free statutory compliance (Zero penalty record).
- Accurate monthly financial reporting delivered by the designated deadline.
- Smooth office operations with optimal utility/vendor spend management.
- High accuracy in payroll processing and timely employee expense settlement.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) or Finance.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in combined accounting and administration and minimum 1 year experience in NGO sector.
- Software: High proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and basic ERP/payroll software.
- Knowledge: Sound understanding of Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, and basic labor laws.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation abilities, high attention to detail, and excellent multi-tasking skills.
