Store Assistant – Job Description (Hotel Industry)
Position: Store Assistant
Department: Stores / Purchase
Reports To: Store Manager / Purchase Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Receive goods and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders and invoices.
- Arrange and store materials systematically in designated locations.
- Issue materials to various departments as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain stock records and inventory registers.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Store Manager.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of all items.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the store area.
- Assist during inventory audits and stock verification.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department for stock replenishment.
- Prepare goods received notes (GRN) and other store-related documents.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience in stores, inventory, or warehouse operations (hotel experience preferred).
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and store procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory software.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
