Job Summary
Indus Power Industries Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager for Rooftop Solar Projects. The candidate should have excellent technical and commercial knowledge of rooftop solar systems and should be capable of independently handling projects up to 1000 kW capacity.
The candidate will be responsible for generating business opportunities, handling client interactions, leading the sales team, training team members, and achieving revenue and profitability targets in the rooftop solar segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities for rooftop solar projects in commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential sectors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, builders, industries, and channel partners.
- Handle complete sales cycle from lead generation to project closure.
- Conduct site visits, client meetings, technical presentations, and commercial negotiations.
- Prepare project proposals, techno-commercial offers, ROI calculations, and energy-saving presentations.
- Coordinate with engineering and project execution teams for smooth project implementation.
- Lead, manage, and train the sales and marketing team to improve business performance.
- Create strategies for revenue growth and market expansion.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets with focus on profitability.
- Maintain database of clients, inquiries, proposals, and ongoing projects.
- Stay updated with latest solar technologies, government policies, net-metering regulations, and subsidy schemes.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of rooftop solar systems, including:
- Solar PV modules
- Inverters
- Structure design
- Net metering
- Electrical systems
- Battery energy storage systems (preferred)
- Experience in handling rooftop solar installations up to 1000 kW.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate sales teams.
- Strong understanding of commercial costing and profitability.
- Knowledge of government approvals and DISCOM processes will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- MBA in Marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in rooftop solar business development or solar EPC industry.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and handling large rooftop solar projects.
