About the Role
College Vidya is looking for an Executive Content Writer – Education News, AEO & AI Content to join our Content & Editorial team.
We are looking for a strong writer who can research and create education news, university updates, admission updates, course guides, FAQs, comparison articles, and student-focused content optimized for both traditional search engines and AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity.
Candidates with experience in EdTech, Education News, Digital Media, Journalism, or Education Content will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and write education news, university updates, admission notifications, course guides, FAQs, and comparison content.
- Monitor UGC, AICTE, NTA, university announcements, admission updates, and higher-education trends.
- Create answer-first content that directly addresses student and education-seeker queries.
- Develop content using Q&A, FAQ, comparison, table, and conversational formats.
- Research trending education topics, search queries, forums, and online discussions.
- Optimize content for SEO, AEO, GEO, Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity.
- Ensure content is accurate, credible, original, well-researched, and student-friendly.
- Update existing content based on new developments, search trends, and changes in university or regulatory information.
- Work closely with the SEO and Content teams to improve organic traffic and AI search visibility.
- Take ownership of content from research and writing through editing, publishing, and updating.
- Maintain content quality and meet publishing deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline; Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or related fields preferred.
- 0–5 years of experience in content writing, news writing, journalism, digital publishing, education content, or a related field.
- Excellent written English and strong research skills.
- Basic understanding of SEO, AEO, GEO, and AI content optimization.
- Ability to simplify complex education-related information for students.
- Strong interest or knowledge of the Indian education and higher-education ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Google Search, AI tools, Google Trends, and content research platforms is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with deadlines.
- Freshers with excellent writing and research skills may also apply.
