Job Overview:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing book, and overseeing financial transactions, including bank books. The role also involves preparing and tracking work orders, proforma invoices, and final invoices. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for vendor communication, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Bookkeeping & Financial Record Management:
- Maintain and update daily financial transactions in accounting software.
- Manage bank books, cash flow, and ledger reconciliation.
- Ensure timely entry of receipts, payments, and journal vouchers.
2. Invoice & Work Order Management:
- Prepare and track work orders, proforma invoices, and final invoices as per company policies.
- Ensure invoices are generated accurately and timely.
- Monitor payment schedules and follow up for outstanding dues.
3. Bank & Financial Reconciliation:
- Maintain records of bank transactions and perform monthly bank reconciliation.
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements and accounts.
- Coordinate with banks for financial transactions, queries, and documentation.
4. Vendor & Stakeholder Communication:
- Handle correspondence with vendors regarding payments, invoicing, and order execution.
- Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders for financial matters.
- Negotiate terms with vendors and resolve payment-related issues.
5. Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Generate financial reports such as outstanding payment reports, profit/loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST, TDS) and other financial laws.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documents and reports.
6. Process Improvement & Documentation:
- Maintain and organize financial records for easy retrieval and audit compliance.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in accounting processes.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
