IDC India is looking for a PhD-qualified editor to take working ownership of two publications: IDCIJST, our peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal currently pursuing ISSN registration, and The COSMINNOX, our think-tank magazine on startups, innovation and enterprise for a policy, investor and founder audience.
This is an execution role. We need someone who originates and drives things to completion — not someone who waits for a task to be structured and handed over.
What you'll own:
- Recruit and grow a network of PhD reviewers and board members across institutions — this is a core, measured part of the role
- Source, screen and manage peer review for research papers across our six domains
- Support ISSN documentation and coordinate with NISCPR
- Drive magazine issue production independently — commissioning, printer coordination, Press Sewa follow-through
- Uphold our editorial identity as a serious think-tank publication, not a sensationalized one
We're looking for:
- A PhD — candidates from Science & Technology backgrounds preferred
- Experience in academic publishing, peer review, or editorial leadership
- An existing cross-institutional academic network, or a strong track record of building one
- Comfort with hands-on execution, not just review work
Engagement: Full-time, with a 3-month evaluation period.
Editorial stipend during the pre-ISSN phase; formal compensation for journal operations activates once ISSN is granted.
Pay: ₹10,233.50 - ₹43,215.31 per month
