Patent Attorney – Chemistry
Location: Chennai or Bangalore
Experience: 5+ Years
Qualification: M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Applied Chemistry
Credential: Registered Indian Patent Agent
Key Responsibilities
Draft high-quality provisional and complete patent specifications for chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and agrochemical inventions
Prepare technically and legally robust responses to First Examination Reports (FERs)
Independently attend oral hearings before the Indian Patent Office and develop effective prosecution strategies
Draft written submissions to overcome complex patentability objections
Prepare patent specifications involving formulations, compounds, and Markush structures
Conduct patentability, validity, and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) analyses
Desired Expertise
5+ years of hands-on Indian patent prosecution experience
Strong expertise in organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer chemistry, and pharmaceutical sciences
Proven experience in independently handling IPO hearings
Excellent patent drafting, analytical, and legal reasoning skills
Confidence in representing clients before the Controller of Patents
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
