Job Title: Cost Analysis Engineer – Steel Structures
Experience Required: 2–3 Years
Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
Job Role & Responsibilities1. Cost Estimation & Analysis
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for steel structural works (fabrication, erection, materials, and labour).
- Analyse BOQ, drawings, and specifications to determine accurate material quantities.
- Conduct rate analysis for materials, fabrication processes, and welding/bolting requirements.
- Estimate costs for site installation, transportation, and equipment usage.
2. Quantity Take-Off (QTO)
- Perform material take-off from structural drawings (beams, columns, rafters, bracings, purlins, gusset plates, etc.).
- Coordinate with the design team to verify steel weight calculations.
3. Tendering & Budget Preparation
- Assist in preparing tender documents, costing sheets, and project budgets.
- Support the management team during bid submissions with cost justifications.
4. Vendor & Procurement Coordination
- Coordinate with vendors for material rates, fabrication charges, and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare cost comparison sheets and recommend cost-effective options.
5. Project Cost Monitoring
- Track actual cost vs. estimated cost during project execution.
- Identify cost variances and assist in implementing cost control measures.
- Support project managers in budget forecasting and financial planning.
6. Technical Review
- Review structural drawings for constructability and cost impact.
- Ensure compliance with IS codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain updated cost records, rate databases, and estimation logs.
- Prepare periodic cost reports, progress reports, and MIS documentation for management.
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of steel structures, fabrication, welding, and erection processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., STAAD quantity tools, Tekla BOM understanding preferred).
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of IS 800, IS 875, and fabrication standards.
- Ability to work with design, procurement, and project execution teams.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
