We are looking for a Social Media Strategy & Content Lead who can take complete ownership of our organic social media presence—from planning the content calendar and developing creative concepts to managing shoots, supervising content production, publishing posts and improving results.
This is not a role limited to posting content or following trends. We need someone who understands how to use content to build trust, communicate product value and generate genuine product interest and sales organically, without depending primarily on paid advertising.
The ideal candidate should be able to think strategically, execute creatively and coordinate designers, video editors, photographers, creators and other team members when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the complete organic social media strategy for the brand.
- Create monthly and weekly content calendars based on business goals, product launches, festivals, trends and audience interests.
- Plan content across reels, carousels, static posts, stories, short-form videos and other suitable formats.
- Generate original content ideas that educate, entertain, build trust and encourage product discovery and purchases.
- Plan and manage product shoots, lifestyle shoots, founder-led videos, customer stories and campaign content.
- Prepare shoot concepts, scripts, references, mood boards, shot lists and production requirements.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, videographers, video editors, creators and internal teams.
- Review and approve designs, videos, captions and other content before publishing.
- Write or supervise captions, hooks, scripts, calls to action and brand communication.
- Ensure all content follows a consistent brand voice, visual identity and storytelling style.
- Manage the publishing schedule across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other relevant platforms.
- Identify trends and adapt them meaningfully for the brand instead of copying generic viral content.
- Improve product visibility and organic sales through social proof, storytelling, demonstrations, education and community-led content.
- Manage comments, messages and audience interactions in coordination with the concerned team.
- Track reach, engagement, watch time, saves, shares, profile visits, enquiries and organic conversions.
- Analyse content performance and continuously improve the strategy based on actual results.
- Build repeatable content systems so that the team can produce high-quality content consistently.
- Manage and guide junior social media executives, designers, editors or interns when required.
What Success Looks Like
- A consistent and well-planned content calendar.
- Stronger brand identity and recognisable social media presence.
- Higher-quality engagement, saves, shares and meaningful audience conversations.
- Increased product enquiries, website visits and organic sales from social media.
- Better coordination and timely delivery across the content team.
- Continuous improvement in content quality and platform performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in social media strategy, content planning or organic brand growth.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and short-form content.
- Ability to plan and manage content production and shoots from concept to completion.
- Strong knowledge of hooks, storytelling, audience psychology and product-led content.
- Ability to create content that supports business and sales goals without making every post feel like an advertisement.
- Good understanding of design, video editing and visual communication, even when the execution is handled by other team members.
- Strong communication, coordination and team-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of deliverables.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and content-performance reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent brand communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with product-based, lifestyle, wellness, fashion, beauty, spiritual or e-commerce brands.
- Experience managing designers, editors, photographers, creators or junior team members.
- Experience generating measurable organic enquiries or sales through content.
- Basic knowledge of Canva, Meta Business Suite, scheduling tools and content-management platforms.
- A portfolio showing content strategies, campaigns, shoots or social media pages previously managed.
Important
- This is primarily an organic social media and content role, not a performance-marketing position. Candidates should understand how to make products desirable and commercially successful through strong content, storytelling, community building and consistent execution.
