Job Summary
Kohira Lab Grown Diamonds is seeking a strategic and result-oriented HR Head to lead the Human Resources function across corporate offices, retail stores, manufacturing, and franchise operations. The HR Head will be responsible for developing HR strategies, building high-performing teams, driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, learning & development, HR operations, compliance, and organizational development to support the company's rapid growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Lead hiring for corporate, retail, manufacturing, and leadership positions.
- Build a strong talent pipeline and employer branding initiatives.
- Monitor recruitment KPIs, hiring timelines, and recruitment costs.
HR Operations
- Oversee employee onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and exit processes.
- Ensure accurate employee documentation and HR records.
- Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
- Manage attendance, leave management, payroll coordination, and HRMS.
Performance Management
- Design and implement KPI/KRA and performance appraisal systems.
- Conduct performance review cycles and support managers with evaluations.
- Drive performance improvement plans and succession planning.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and implement annual learning calendars.
- Develop leadership development and sales training programs.
- Ensure employees receive product knowledge and customer service training.
Employee Engagement
- Foster a positive work culture and improve employee satisfaction.
- Plan employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and wellness activities.
- Handle employee grievances and conflict resolution effectively.
Compliance & Employee Relations
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate PF, ESIC, gratuity, and other statutory requirements.
- Manage disciplinary actions and employee relations matters.
HR Strategy & Organizational Development
- Align HR initiatives with business goals.
- Develop organization structures, manpower plans, and succession strategies.
- Drive change management and organizational development initiatives.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare HR dashboards and MIS reports.
- Track attrition, retention, hiring, training effectiveness, and productivity.
- Present HR metrics and recommendations to senior management.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Expertise in talent acquisition and workforce planning.
- Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience in performance management and employee engagement.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in HRMS, Microsoft Excel, and HR analytics tools.
Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 10–15 years of progressive HR experience.
- Minimum 5 years in an HR leadership role.
- Experience in jewellery, retail, luxury, manufacturing, or consumer-facing industries is preferred.
- Multi-location hiring and retail HR experience will be an advantage.
