Job Title: Sr Engineer – Component Engineering
Job Responsibilities:
- Create/Review components in documentation systems using vendor datasheets
- Evaluate component change notifications from vendors for significance and flag significant changes for further engineering review and/or testing.
- Document materials compliance status of components (ROHS, REACH, WEE, Prop 65, etc) and work with engineers and vendors to gather evidence into component evidence repository.
- Component creation – (Windchill PN, vendor setup, approved vendors, supplier spec, route to CAD group, RoHS certification)
- Create materials composition declarations and environmental impact of products for various purposes (customers, regulatory agencies, governments)
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary cross functional team effectively to realize results
- Consciously be a part of workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization's and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization.
- Keep up-to-date with requisite skills in configuration management tools and infrastructure (E.g. Windchill, SAP).
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience·
- Bachelor in Electrical/Electronics with 3+ years of Component Engineering/Configuration management experience.
- Knowledge of material regulations (RoHS, REACH)
- Knowledge and willingness to learn about a wide range electronic components
- Hands-on experience in managing product configuration and BOM structures through defined PDM processes. Experience in Medical domain is an added advantage.
- Experience in any of the configuration management tools (E.g. Windchill, SAP) and techniques is preferred
- Fast learner with system thinking mindset.
- Exposure working in global environment, ability to communicate on different levels, good listening skills, coaching and guiding project team, with good presentation skills
- Careful documentation skills and attention to quality detail
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
